KENYA YOUTH SUMMIT
On August 12th and 13th, 2021, youth from the local and global community will congregate in one place to have a conversation that will revolutionize Kenya, Africa and beyond.
The 2021 4th Annual Meeting of the Kenya Youth Summit will take place in Nairobi on:
Date: August 12th and 13th, 2021
Time: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (East African Time)
Our objective remains unchanged: to Engage, Inspire and Empower youth.
Engage and leverage youth for solutions to local and global issues
Inspire and better inform youth to pursue dreams and lives of fulfilled aspirations
Empower youth through connections with successful role models by providing resources and opportunities to network, discuss and interact with leaders and young professionals from various settings and careers.
The 4th annual Kenya Youth Summit, hosted by The Youth Engagement Society, in partnership with Akili Dada, will facilitate a conversation by bringing together the youth, young professionals, leaders, and organizations to the forefront of issues and to facilitate collaboration across sectors to not only inspire the youth but tap into them for solutions. Sessions and discussions tackled issues inclusive, but not limited to, education, employment/jobs, health, and social media, democracy (including participatory decision making), disruptive technologies, mental health and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We invite all youth, ages 18 and up, to join the discussion towards finding meaningful and lasting solutions. The Summit offers Youth connections to opportunities for internships (attachments) networking, and one-on-one engagement with mentors/peers. In addition, through our Competitive Startup Fund, we provide support to startups/ideas that have the capacity to succeed in local or global markets, serving a public need or a promising community-based initiative.
